It’s nice to know that a few quick hacks can combat beauty emergencies and save time and money in a pinch, especially when it comes to salvaging the last bits of perfectly usable products that were quite the splurge in the first place!
This latest quick tip is based off of the idea that hot water will loosen up any dried up, hard to reach mascara. Next time you’ve got perfectly good mascara at the bottom of that container here’s what you do:

1. Tightly secure the lid to your mascara.
2. Submerge it in a bowl of warm water. Think almost just before boiling but not quite – you don’t want to run the risk of ruining the product with excessive heat.
3. Wait 3-5 minutes.
4. Dry it off and let cool for a few minutes.
