QUICK TIP: HOW TO GET EVERY LAST DROP OF MASCARA

From dealing with excess perfume to all the uses for dry shampoo, I’ve been sharing more quick tips than ever. It’s nice to know that a few quick hacks can combat beauty emergencies and save time and money in a pinch, especially when it comes to salvaging the last bits of perfectly usable products that were quite the splurge in the first place!
how to use every last drop of mascara
This latest quick tip is based off of the idea that hot water will loosen up any dried up, hard to reach mascara. But just running water over your mascara tube alone won’t heat it up enough, the way it does with your eyelash curler. ( Enjoy Up To 10% OFF On Select Items With eBay Coupon Extras. Save on health, beauty, toys and more!!! Click here ).  Instead, you want to make sure you’re properly warming up the tube. Next time you’ve got perfectly good mascara at the bottom of that container here’s what you do:

.

1. Tightly secure the lid to your mascara.
2. Submerge it in a bowl of warm water. Think almost just before boiling but not quite – you don’t want to run the risk of ruining the product with excessive heat.
3. Wait 3-5 minutes.
4. Dry it off and let cool for a few minutes.
5. Give it a try!
Easy peasy.

Summer is upon us and everyone’s question is, what to wear? What to wear to my favorite BBQ, a day out with the girls, an evening out…. no worries dolls, I have all the answers and more of some of the most sexy and sassy fashion summer trends and how to wear!

What To Wear For Summer 2015

Flatforms: This new shoe trend became popular on the streets and then made its way to the runway. You can see these fashionable shoes through the likes of DKNY and Maison Margiela. Not only are these shoes unique, but they’re comfortable and add just the right amount of height.

Sportswear: Another street style trend, it’s now cool to be sporty. Using cool fabrics like mesh in bomber jackets and vibrant color palettes, sportswear adds a whole new level of cool edge to your look.

Crop tops: Crop tops are the newest way to show a bit of skin without being too revealing. Pair a crop top with high-waisted shorts for a more casual look, or a pencil midi skirt to dress it up. These come in all different styles, from bustier tops to matching crop top and skirt sets, which are very feminine.

Gingham: This pattern has been seen all over the Spring Fashion week from Michael Kors to Altazurra. This is a classic chic pattern that can enhance any look, whether it is an elegant blouse or modern dress.

Khaki: A classic staple, khaki has come back for summer in full swing. Whether it’s in a modern military silhouette or safari style, khaki can be worn to give you a more modern take on a traditional style.

Kimono’s that have fringe on the bottom add a more bohemian vibe to your outfit as well. This is the perfect thrown on for many outfits!

Nautical: The cape-cod, nautical style is back in season for this summer. You can go full-on prep with chino shorts and loafers or just wear a navy blue blazer.

Metallic: Which do you prefer, silver or gold? Either way, metallics are back for the summer in a big way. A pretty metallic top or even shiny pants are a great way to dress up your look for a night out on the town. Mixing metals in jewelry is another fun trend following the metallic hype! Why wear one, when you can wear them all?

Long tutu skirts: It’s every little girls dream to be a ballerina right? Now you can with a little piece of that dream by wearing a tutu skirt with your favorite crop top. This skirt adds a feminine feel and girliness to your look, without being overbearing. Whether it’s a mini or midi-skirt, you’re sure to look super girly and chic!

Why You Should Exfoliate…Everywhere

Out with the old and in with the new. It’s a phrase we know well. While it’s typically reserved for jobs, relationships and spring cleaning, it also relates to our skin. Beyond hydrating, one of the most beneficial things you can do for your skin is exfoliate. That’s because as we age our body’s  natural exfoliation slows down, meaning dead skin cells, clogged pores and the likelihood for an uneven complexion are more prevalent. Exfoliating gives you a natural glow, helps stimulate blood circulation and really, it breathes new life into your skin. Often you only hear about cleansing your face, but I’m here to tell you, you need to exfoliate everywhere.
Exfoliating all over helps make hydration and shaving much more effective, but that’s not all. Here’s why you should exfoliate each region and a few rules about frequency and ways to do.
Why You Should Exfoliate Everywhere

Lips

Our lips are ultra sensitive, so be gentle. You can exfoliate to help plump your lips and exfoliate to help products go on smooth. Whatever your purpose, use a soft lip scrub every few days or rub your toothbrush over your lips after you’ve brushed. This summer when you’re wearing high shine products, you’ll be doing it the right way–no bleeding color or parched pout here.

Face

I could go on forever about this one. You can dry brush your face 3 times a week, use a Konjac facial sponge without product or try an exfoliating cleanser (not recommended if you have sensitive skin) to brighten up your skin every day. A small round edge granule exfoliant will banish blackheads, help foundation look flawless when applied, and during summer months, allow you to go makeup-free with confidence without injuring your skin.

Body

Unfortunately our bodies aren’t exempt from experiencing skin issues. If you work out a lot or sweat at night you might know the struggle. Luckily, with the proper body skin care routine and regular exfoliating you’re on your way to clear, smooth, swimsuit ready skin. With dead skin gone, your moisturizer has more chance to work. Don’t forget those pesky areas like mid-back, the sides of your behind and chest. Remember to only exfoliate every few days. Too frequent exfoliation–depending on your skin type–can cause irritation, redness and over-drying.Shop body care items at Ebay.com

Legs

Speaking of being ready to rock a killer swimsuit, our legs need extra TLC. While exfoliating’s main goal is to get you nourished, healthy skin, roughing up your gams once or twice a week has two other major benefits. Dry brushing your legs is believed to help reduce cellulite thanks to increased blood flow from the exfoliation process, while pre-shave exfoliation (in a circular motion) makes for a closer shave and less ingrown hairs. It also helps razors last longer because they don’t dull from dead skin.

Bikini Line

No matter how you manage your nether region, it’s good to do a light exfoliation along your bikini line to prevent irritation and ingrown hairs. If you shave, this will reduce the chance for razor burn (shutter!) and if you’re prepping for a wax, it’s vital. Because you don’t want to risk any chance for product irritation, stick with warm water and a natural sponge to get the job done.

Feet

Whether trying to clean them up for sandal season or nourish them during cold weather months, our feet need exfoliating to stay soft. Long days in heels or uncomfortable shoes without socks can harden your soles and leave your toes screaming for a pedicure. Try a DIY citrus scrub every other night on your heels and then all over when about to repolish your nails. This will make the skin softer and clean up edges around the nails, leaving you with a better polish job and less chance for hangnails and cuticle buildup.
